2021 Jeep Renegade FAQ Review. You might say the 2021 Jeep Renegade is true to its name because it certainly isn't a clone of the garden variety subcompact SUV. Oh, the Renegade is certainly cute enough to check that subcompact prerequisite box, but properly equipped, it will leave all the other cute-utes literally in the dust when taken off-road. Street tires have the tread pretty close to each other; that's what provides the quiet ride most want. Off road tires with aggressive tread have that "WAAAAA" noise on dry pavement. If you have normal street tires on your Jeep, you'll never have the snow traction you desire. 4 wheel drive doesn't help in a no traction situation.
