Every time I start the car this warning appers Headlight levelling malfunction. I have watch both lights and the motors operate the head lights up and down and the auto light function works ie auto on and mainbeam. the only thing I can see is that one of the bulbs seem to be a slightly different shade to the other. the car is a 2009 elite nav.
Remove the bumper & existing headlights. Drill through the empty 2 positions in the headlamp loom connector. Fit appropriate female terminals into the empty holes. Connect these 2 new pins to the 1.5mm brown earth cable already in the loom or to one of the chassis earths. Use a terminal extractor and swap over pins 7 & 8 in the loom connector.
