There is nothing spectacular about this model 457 Lux. It is about as plain vanilla as a bolt action 22 gets. Iron sights, tapered barrel, 5 round magazine, matte finish; nothing to write home about. However, the details, in my opinion, add up to a sum greater than all its parts.

The 22mag is a hunting round. The American is good hunting rifle, although it can do a lot more. Something people dont like to admit, or I should say my experience, I can shoot a 1" 5 shot group at 100 yards with 22mag much easier than I can do that with a higher grade 22LR setup. jaia. 9408 posts · Joined 2014. #8 · May 1, 2022. CZ expects 2 moa at 50 yards from it's 22lr rifles. That calculates out to about 1 inch of spread. Use the double triple rule of rimfire, double the distance expect triple the spread and so 1 inch at 50 yards, expect 3 inches at 100 yards and 9 inches at 200 yards.
