Is there a fix for the 1.2 TSI that doesnt include a new actuator? seems pretty expensive. I Know the 1.4 and the 1.2 are pretty similar but dont know about the turbos. Found a clip that holds the actuator rod in place but it says its for the 1.4 EA211, is there a chance it would fit the 1.2?
April 27, 2018 ·. Timing chain repair on a 1.4 TSI engine. These engines are prone to stretched timing chains causing an engine warning light, running issues or in severe cases engine damage! Although timing chains don’t have a set replacement like a cam belt, it maybe worth considering a replacement as preventive maintenance.
