When I launch Black Ops 2 the program launches but the screen remains blacks. Other times, I will see a glimpse of the starting logo and hear the sound, soon after which the screen freezes and then goes black again. In other instances, I will hear just the sound of the starting logo, which will stop after a while as well while remaining a black screen. Ok, first boot into desktop mode. Then launch the game, then in the display/video/graphics settings of whichever game you are playing, set it to windowed mode. Then click the speaker icon on the steam OS taskbar, if your game is muted within the applications tab of this window drag the slider up. Black Ops 3 does not start for me. Only the black screen appears, and close again. I tried to close all startup things, and it came back the same way, until this tip of yours did not work.
