The recipes are 10-20g each and crafting requires various PoF mats. If you have enough laurels to buy recipes, I'd recommend going with the Hronk (or similar alternatives) you need. Although that might be painful now, it's an investment tat will pay off in the long run if you have multiple toons to outfit. Any player that plays enough to start thinking about going for a legendary will gain value from the legendary armor. And all it requires is not being afraid of this game's incredibly casual-friendly raids.
